Loving Day

Loving Day's mission is to fight racial prejudice and help build the multicultural community.

It's a global network of events that you can host or attend.
It's also an educational project that you can be a part of every day.

Loving Day celebrates the anniversary of a Supreme Court case called Loving v. Virginia, which legalized interracial marriage in the United States. In 2009 there were Loving Day Celebrations in 31 cities in 3 countries. The first Loving Day Flagship Celebration in New York City was in 2004; it has brought together over 1,000 guests every year since 2007. It's fun and easy to host your own Loving Day Celebration with the free Loving Day Celebration Kit. We're working to make Loving Day a new tradition that is shared between friends and passed from generation to generation. Loving Day has been featured on NPR, the Washington Post, BBC World, ABC News, the Village Voice, and many others.

Find a Loving Day Celebration, list your celebration, share your story, connect with the multicultural community.
